GOLDEN, Colo. (Oct. 30, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team's season came to an end on Sunday following a 5-0 loss at No. 9 Colorado School of Mines in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinal round.
In the match, CSU Pueblo totaled seven shots led by
Faith Meredith and her three shots, all of which landed on goal.
The ThunderWolves played strong in the first half and fended off a big offensive attack from Mines.
Meredith had the first good look at the net with her shot during the 24th minute that was saved by the Orediggers goalkeeper Sadie Wolf.
The home team got on the board in the 26th minute after a flurry of shots led to the score.
The Pack went into the locker room trailing 1-0 and tallied three shots in the period.
In the second half, Mines scored just over a minute of play and during the 51st minute, the home team capitalized on a own goal from the ThunderWolves.
The Orediggers scored two more goals in the 69th minute and 89th minute for the shutout win.
CSU Pueblo ends its season with a 5-12-2 record.
