PUEBLO, Colo. (Aug. 30, 2021) – Colorado State University Pueblo racked up another preseason top 25 ranking ahead of the 2021 football season, as the ThunderWolves were ranked at No. 12 as announced by the D2Football.com Preseason Poll Sunday night.

The Pack were also ranked 12th in the America Football American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) earlier in the month.

CSU Pueblo were one of two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) teams marked in the top-25 in the Sunday release.
Colorado School of Mines clinched a top 10 ranking as the Orediggers will begin the season at No. 8 according to D2Football.com.

The ThunderWolves have three 2021 opponents ranked in the top 25 poll and two in the top 10. CSU Pueblo's first opponent, Texas A&M-Commerce, emerged at No. 5 in the D2Football.com poll while Grand Valley State will begin the season at No. 24.

The Pack were ranked second in the preseason RMAC poll conducted earlier in the month. Mines sat atop the conference poll.

The 2021 football season kicks off for the Pack Thursday at 6 p.m. at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl as the team takes on Texas A&M-Commerce. Season tickets are still on sale and can be purchased from the Ticket Office by going online. Tickets for the season opener against Texas A&M-Commerce are still available for purchase online or by visiting the ticket office in Massari Arena.
