GOODYEAR, Ariz. (April 5, 2021) - The No. 16 ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf team finished the first day of the Mustang Intercollegiate, tied for third place at after scoring a (-2) 282-292-574 on day one at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.
CSU Pueblo sits behind UT-Permian Basin as they shot 282-286-568. Colorado Mesa sits second, -3, as they carded 283-290-573.
The Pack are tied with RMAC-foe Fort Lewis College.
Individually, Grand Canyon's Matthew Braley leads the field after he shot a -9 (135) two round total.
On the player leaderboard, CSU Pueblo's
Jamie Roberts (R-Fr.,
Kinross, Scotland, UK) sits tied-5th at -4 after shooting a 140 over two rounds. In round one, Roberts scored three birdies and was two-under par on hole 11. He ended day one with six birdied including two holes that he finished two-under par.
Andrew Ni (Jr.,
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK) finished his day T-11th after he carded a two-under (69-73-142) in two rounds. Ni posted seven birdies on the day.
The Pack's
Matt Millar (Fr., Devon, England, UK) ended his day at -1 (143). Millar scored 71-72-143 over the two rounds of play. Millar finished his day with seven birdies.
Sam Barthram (Jr.,
Weybridge, Surrey, UK) sits T-48th at +7 (76-75-151) while
Clay Kucera (Jr., Chaska, Minn.) and
Nathan McCann (Jr.,
Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland) end day one T-60th after both carding scores of +9 (153).
The ThunderWolves will conclude play with another round at the Palm Valley Club in Goodyear.
