ThunderWolves sit in first place after day one at RMAC Championships

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (April 18, 2021) - No. 18 Colorado State University Men's Golf sits atop the leaderboard after day one of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Championships as they shot a -1 under par 287 on the first day at Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz. Four members of the Pack sit in the top ten individually.

The ThunderWolves are ten strokes ahead of second place UCCS at +9 297.

The Pack was led on day one by Andrew Ni (Jr., Edinburgh, Scotland, UK) at -2 under 70 and is in second place, one stroke behind Fort Lewis' Nicholas Krantz at -3 under 69. Ni scored four birdies on the day.

Sitting tied for 3rd is Matt Millar (Fr., Devon, England, UK) after he shot a -1 71 through 18 holes. Millar produced six birdies including back-to-back on the 14th and 15th hole, respectively.

After shooting even par 72, Jamie Roberts (R-Fr., Kinross, Scotland, UK) is tied for 5th place.

Also in the Top 10 sits Clay Kucera (Jr., Chaska, Minn.) as he carded a +2 over par 74 in round one.

Nathan McCann (Jr., Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland) finished +7 79 and is tied for 33rd in the field.

CSU Pueblo will open day two at the Wigwam Golf Resort at around 1 p.m. (MT) in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
