PUEBLO, Colo. (April 12, 2021) - Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf ended day one of the Southern Colorado Masters in first place by eleven strokes after scoring 282-281-563 through two rounds at the Pueblo Country Club.
The Pack vaulted to the top of the leaderboard after they recorded a day one low 281 in round two, keeping pace with a round one score of 282.
CSU Pueblo's
Clay Kucera (Jr., Chaska, Minn.) and
Andrew Ni (Jr.,
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK) are tied for 5th and both ended -1 under par (141). Kucera shot 71-70-141 and Ni carded a 70-71-141 on day one. Â
One stroke behind, sits
Matt Millar (Fr.,
Devon, England, UK) (74-68-142) and
Jamie Roberts (R-Fr.,Â
Kinross, Scotland, UK) (70-72-142) tied for 8th place at even par.
Nathan McCann (Jr.,
Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland) is +3 and tied-19th after going 71-74-145 on the day.
Sanjay Nithiyalingham (So.,
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, UK) is tied-41st with a +10 and
Sam Barthram (Jr.,
Weybridge, Surrey, UK) sits in 50th place at +15. Â

The ThunderWolves sit ahead of UCCS who finished (+6) 279-295-574. In third place, Colorado School of Mines shot +8 (576) and Colorado Christian, Colorado Mesa, and Fort Lewis are all tied in fourth place after carding team scores of 579.
