PUEBLO, Colo. (April 11, 2021) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's tennis team closed the home portion of its schedule Sunday with a 7-0 loss to Colorado Mesa at Pueblo City Park. 
 
At No. 5 singles, Alyssa Wells (R-Fr., Converse, Texas) lost 6-2 in the first set, but rebounded with a 6-3 set two victory. In the third set tiebreaker, Wells would fall 10-6.
 
At the No. 1 singles position, junior Kali Hamilton (Grapevine, Texas) pushed her opponent to extra tennis in set two, but lost 7-5. 
 
The matched served as Senior Day for Sabina Garduno de la Vega (Oaxtepec, Morelos, Mexico). In her final home match she played at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles.

"It was nice to see all of our players go and put it all out there," said Head Coach Beau Fresquez. "I am especially pleased with Kali and Alyssa. Both showed tremendous effort and problem-solving skills."

The ThunderWolves will close the season April 17 at Colorado Mesa beginning at 9:30 a.m.
