PUEBLO, Colo. (March 4, 2021) - Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer will begin its rare spring schedule when they venture west and take on Colorado Mesa University Friday at 2 p.m. at Maverick Field, in the season opener for both teams.
After a 483-day hiatus from competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the
Sierra Cardenas-led ThunderWolves are itching to return to the pitch.
The Pack will be guided this season by seniors
Cara Siegel (Pueblo, Colo.) and
Madison Jepperson (Cottonwood Heights, Utah). Senior midfielder
Litzy Serna (West Jordan, Utah) will seek to make an immediate impact at midfield.
The defense will be anchored this year by
Sabrina Bridwell (Jr., Longmont, Colo.) and
Jordin Schaller (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.).
Newcomers
Faith Meredith (Jr., Cheyenne, Wyo.) and
Nicole Genis (So., San Jose, Costa Rica) are both players to watch this spring.
