3/4/2021 4:13:00 PM

PUEBLO, Colo. (March 4, 2021) - Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer will begin its rare spring schedule when they venture west and take on Colorado Mesa University Friday at 2 p.m. at Maverick Field, in the season opener for both teams.

After a 483-day hiatus from competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sierra Cardenas-led ThunderWolves are itching to return to the pitch.

The Pack will be guided this season by seniors Cara Siegel (Pueblo, Colo.) and Madison Jepperson (Cottonwood Heights, Utah). Senior midfielder Litzy Serna (West Jordan, Utah) will seek to make an immediate impact at midfield.

The defense will be anchored this year by Sabrina Bridwell (Jr., Longmont, Colo.) and Jordin Schaller (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.).

Newcomers Faith Meredith (Jr., Cheyenne, Wyo.) and Nicole Genis (So., San Jose, Costa Rica) are both players to watch this spring.
