PUEBLO, Colo. (Feb. 12, 2021) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's tennis team lost Friday at the Pueblo Tennis Center to NCAA Division I University of New Mexico by the score of 7-0.
The Lobos took the first two doubles matches and then won the first three singles contests to clinch the match.
At No. 4 singles,
Roma Cordova (R-Fr., Belen, N.M.) scored the most points for the Pack, as she lost 6-2, 6-1. At No. 5 singles,
Sabina Garduno de la Vega (So., Oaxtepec, Morelos, Mexico) fell 6-1, 6-1.

"It was a great opportunity to play great competition," said Interim Head Coach
Beau Fresquez. "With the competition we faced, the team went out there and fought as hard as they could. It was a tough match and now we know what we need to work on."
"It's intimidating, but I feel like there is nothing to lose," Cordova said. "You just have to do your best and put everything out there and I think we play better as a result."
