COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 19, 2021) – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced
Justin Dwinell, Thayne Jackson, and
Mac Shaw as recipients of Academic All-Region honors, as announced by the organization Thursday.
Dwinell (So. Colorado Springs, Colo.) added to his 2021 accolades and took an Academic All-Region honor. The punter has accumulated a 3.95 GPA as a business management major through his years on the CSU Pueblo football team.
Taking home the second Academic All-Region award was offensive lineman, Jackson (Sr., Gilbert, Ariz.). Jackson carried a 3.78 GPA as a marketing major. The lineman was the only senior on the CSU Pueblo football team to clinch All-Region honors.
Shaw (So., Centennial, Colo.) earned his first career CoSIDA Academic All-Region honor, as announced Thursday. The long snapper and engineering major has carried a 3.92 GPA as a sophomore and the impressive classroom performance led all offensive linemen named to the All-Region team.
The three Pack football honorees are now nominees for the CoSIDA Academic All-American award which will be announced on Dec. 17.

Earned CoSIDA Academic All-Region Honors … The Pack ranked first in the conference in sacks allowed at 14 on the season (1.27 per game) … CSU Pueblo averaged the second-most yards per carry (4.7) in the RMAC … The ThunderWolves averaged the fourth-most yards per play on the season in the league (5.7).
Mac Shaw
Earned CoSIDA Academic All-Region Honors … Started all 11 games at the long snapper position … Made four total tackles on the season … Helped the Pack to a nation's seventh-best 38.39 net yards per punt … CSU Pueblo did not allow a blocked punt all year with Shaw at center … Named to First Team Academic All-RMAC.
