COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 1, 2021) – The Colorado State University Pueblo football team earned its second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Player of the Week honors of the year with wide receiver and punt returner Andrew Cook (R-Fr., Tucson, Ariz.) earning Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.

This is Cook's first career RMAC Player of the Week honor.

Cook had an impressive showing during the ThunderWolves' 73-0 dominant victory over Fort Lewis College Oct. 30. The redshirt freshman assumed punt return duties for one possession and made the most of it. Cook cut through the coverage and showed off his speed as he went untouched 73 yards for the Pack's first punt return for a touchdown since 2018.

This was Cook's first career punt return for a touchdown since his CSU Pueblo career began. The touchdown marked the season's longest return of the season on kicks, punts, or interceptions.

Cook had one punt return and added on one kick return for 21 yards to nearly run for 100 yards on special teams. He also added a 35-yard catch to his line.

The Pack head back home for a colossal senior day match-up against Colorado School of Mines Saturday at 2 p.m.
