PUEBLO, Colo. (October 11, 2021) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team sits in second place after day one of the 2021 Farmer's Insurance Sam Proal Invite with a final team score of 302 (+14).
The ThunderWolves were led by
Kylie Severin (So., Aurora, Colo.) who carded four birdies and finished with a final score of 73 (+1) while teammate
Zoey Rodriguez (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.) finished a stroke behind Severin with a final score of 74 and tied for 5th place. Rodriguez tabbed three birdies on the round, two of which in her back nine.
Amy Sutheran (Jr., Durham, England, UK) came in third for the Pack with a final score of 77 (+5) on the round and tied for 16th place. Sutheran started the round with a bogie on her first hole, but followed with eight straight par holes and a birdie on hole 13.
Not far behind Sutheran is
Victoria Hart (Sr., Oxforshire, England, UK) and
Anju Ogi (Fr., Arvada, Colo.) - both finished their rounds with a final score of 78 (+6) and are tied for 18th place.
Rileigh Vojta (So., St. Francis, Minn.) and
Merielle Gojo (Fr., Cherry Hills Valley, Colo.) both completed as individuals and scored an 84 (+12) on the day and are tied for 38th place.
The Pack will be back in action with round two tomorrow morning at the Pueblo Country Club, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
