PUEBLO, Colo. (Feb. 28, 2020) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's tennis teams will begin the spring home season Feb. 29 and March 1, respectfully, at Pueblo City Park. The women's program also battles NCAA Division I Air Force Academy Friday at 8:30 a.m.

The men welcome Division I Montana State University Saturday for a 1 p.m. tilt. The men are 0-4 overall with an 0-1 mark in the spring season after traveling to play University of Denver and falling, 6-0. SeniorÂ
Daniel Garcia (Riverside, Calif.) was the lone member of the ThunderWolves to win a set against DU, as he won the first set 6-4, but fell in set two, 6-3. In the third set tiebreaker, Garcia lost 10-6.
In doubles play, the No. 1 doubles pair of sophomoresÂ
Edward Cooper (Wolverhampton, UK) andÂ
Richard Garcia (Bolton, UK) forced a tiebreaker, as they pushed the match to 7-6. In the tiebreaker, the Pioneers won 10-1.

The women will travel to Air Force Friday and then host Texas A&M University-Kingsville Sunday beginning at 12 p.m. The match was originally scheduled for 11 a.m. The ThunderWolves are 0-6 overall and 0-1 in the spring after losing 7-0 at University of Northern Colorado. Tilly Blasdale (Fr., Dover, United Kingdom) won 6-4. CSU-Pueblo would lose the doubles point after loses at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.

Sarah Megilligan (Pueblo West, Colo.) was the closest to taking a set in singles play, as she lost at No. 3, 6-4, 6-0.Â

Both teams will then hit the road March 6-7 for the MSU Texas Invite in Wichita Falls, Texas.Â
