PARKER, Colo. (Feb. 17, 2020) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's tennis team opened the spring season by playing NCAA Division I University of Northern Colorado Sunday in Parker, Colorado. The ThunderWolves fell 7-0.
The Pack secured a win at No. 1 doubles, as
Kali Hamilton (Grapevine, Texas) andÂ
Tilly Blasdale (Fr., Dover, United Kingdom) won 6-4. CSU-Pueblo would lose the doubles point after loses at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.
Senior
Sarah Megilligan (Pueblo West, Colo.) was the closest to taking a set in singles play, as she lost at No. 3, 6-4, 6-0.Â
The ThunderWolves continue the season at another Division I foe, the Air Force Academy, Feb. 28 beginning at 9 a.m. The home opener is scheduled for March 1 against Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The match at Pueblo City Park is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start.Â
