Pack maintains 7th place at RMAC Championships

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (February 13, 2020) -  Colorado State University-Pueblo Swimming & Diving held onto seventh place on day two of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Championships.
 
The Pack's best performance of the day came in the 200 Free Relay. Phoebe Pontious (Sr., Caledonia, Mich.), Jillian Abrian (Fr., Ladera Ranch, Calif.), Julia Whitfield (So., Wichita, Kan.), and Selina Wang (Fr., Taipei, Taiwan) took fifth place with a time of 1:37.45. This time stands as the second-fastest in program history, just .45 seconds behind the school record these swimmers set earlier this season.
 
Mckenna Hauber (Fr., Gillette, Wyo.) posted the Pack's best individual finish of the day. Hauber placed 11th in the 400 IM with a career-best 4:40.99.
 
Pontious advanced to the finals of the 100 Fly. Her time of 59.19 landed her 15th place.
 
Wang won the C final of the 200 Free with a mark of 1:57.91. Rashelle Freeman (Fr., Temecula, Calif.) finished 29th in the event with a time of 2:01.62.
 
In their final event of the day, the Pack took ninth in the 400 Medley Relay. Abrian, Kate Miller (Jr., Draper, Utah), Alyssa Grunloh (So., Round Rock, Texas), and Vivica Craig (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev.) finished in a time of 4:11.54.
 
The RMAC Championships continue Friday at the El Pomar Natatorium.
