GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (February 12, 2019) - After one day of competition at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, Colorado State University-Pueblo Swimming & Diving holds seventh place.
Phoebe Pontious (Sr., Caledonia, Mich.) swam the second-fastest 50 Free time in school history with a mark of 24.36. Pontious finished 12th in the event.
Selina Wang (Fr., Taipei, Taiwan) briefly swam the second-fastest 50 Free time in program history with a mark of 24.38 in the prelims. Wang returned with a 24.49 in the finals to place 15th.
Pontious and Wang joined
Kate Miller (Jr., Draper, Utah) and
Julia Whitfield (So., Wichita, Kan.) to take ninth place in the 200 medley relay. These four posted a time of 1:52.13, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Sarah Steele (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.) claimed 11th place in the three meter dive. Steele scored 279.55 points.
In the 1000 Free,
Mckenna Hauber (Fr., Gillette, Wyo.) took 12th with a time of 10:57.68. Hauber scored five points.
Melissa Braddock (Fr., Manchester, England, UK) swam a time of 11:15.79 to place 21.
Alyssa Grunloh (So., Round Rock, Texas) finished 22nd with a mark 11:16.05.
Kristen Wolf (Fr., Topeka, Kan.) earned the Pack's best finish in the 200 IM. She took 37
th place of 2:19.94.
The ThunderWolves will resume competition in the RMAC Championships on Thursday. Prelims will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the El Pomar Natatorium.
