Morris goes overseas to sign Dickson and Franzmair to men’s program

PUEBLO, Colo. (Dec. 10, 2020) – Colorado State University Pueblo Head Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Coach Matt Morris has signed two international student-athletes to the men's program for 2021-22, as he inks Jack Dickson to a National Letter of Intent and adds transfer Nikolaus Franzmair.

Dickson is a mid-distance runner and hails from London, England. From Linz, Austria, Franzmair is also a mid-distance athlete that was an NCAA Division I National Champion at University of Oregon. 

All signees are contingent upon admission to CSU Pueblo and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Prior to CSU Pueblo: Owns personal best times of 1:52 (800m), 49.3 (400m) and 3:57 (1500m), all of which he has ran in 2020 … Raced to first place with a personal best time in the 400m at the London Inter Club Challenge U20, Senior & Masters Open (Sept. 6) … Posted a personal best in the 800m at the BMC Gold Standard Races (Aug. 29) to place first … In the UK U20 rankings he is 15th in the 800m, 18th in the 400m and 32nd in the 1500m … Is a member of the British Athletics Youth Talent Program … A member of the Kingston AC and Polytechnic Harriers Club.
 
Personal: Son of Stewart and Jenny Dickson … Proposed business management major at CSU Pueblo.

2015-16 (So., Oregon): Indoor: Won the 600m at the UW Indoor Preview with a person best time of 1:18.37 … A member of the winning DMR at the Razorback Invitational with a time of 9:30.95.
 
2014-15 (Fr., Oregon): Joined the team in January … Helped Oregon to indoor and outdoor conference and NCAA Division I Championships … A member of the national champion Distance Medley Relay team. Outdoor - Ran the 800 and 1,500 meters ... Best 800 was a runner-up finish at the Pepsi Team Invitational (1:51.37)... Member of Oregon's Penn Relays champion distance medley relay team (9:33.86)... Set a personal best in the 1,500 meters at the Oregon Relays, placing third in 3:42.48... Competed in the 800 at the Pac-12 Championships, and the 1,500 meters at the NCAA West Regional... Following the collegiate season, raced in a handful of meets overseas and timed a seasonal best in the 800 of 1:50.54 in Linz, Austria … Indoor - Member of Oregon's NCAA Champion distance medley relay team that won in 9:30.53 … Was the runner-up in the 800 at the MPSF Championships in a season-best 1:48.79, which was the No. 5 indoor time in school history...ran three sub-1:50 800 meters in a month's span ...
