PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 16, 2019) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's tennis program hosted the Pueblo Duals Thursday-Sunday and totaled three matches at Pueblo City Park.
The ThunderWolves finished 0-3 with losses to University of Texas-Permian Basin (7-0), Dallas Baptist University (6-1) and Newman University (7-0). Two new freshman earned quality playing time in the matches.
Sophomore
Edward Cooper (Wolverhampton, UK) played at the No. 1 singles position all three matches and earned one singles and one doubles victory. In his singles match against DBU's Grant McKenzie, Copper won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Partnering with
Richard Garcia (So., Bolton, UK) at No. 1 doubles, the pair won their match against Dallas Baptist, 6-3.
The final action of the fall will be the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Central Regional Oct. 3-6 in Wichita Falls, Texas and hosted by Midwestern State University.
