Box Score HAYS, Kan. (September 13, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team fell in their first road match of the season, 1-0 at Fort Hays State Friday at FHSU Soccer Stadium.
The home team scored the lone goal of the match in the 77' when they drove the ball down the field and drew a foul that set up the FHSU offense to secure a corner kick and score off the attempt.
In the contest, the Pack outshot the Tigers 13-10 led by
Litzy Serna (Jr., West Jordan, UT) with five shots at the net.
Battling to a scoreless tie through halftime, the ThunderWolves were active in creating opportunities. The Pack finished the first half with two shots on goal.
Trailing by one for the final ten minutes of regulation, the ThunderWolves offense found their chances at the net, led by
Cara Siegel (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.). She finished with four shots in the match.
CSU-Pueblo (1-2) will wrap nonconference play Sunday against Washburn University at a neutral site, on the same pitch as tonight at FHSU Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12 PM.
