Pack face Fort Hays and Washburn in Hays, Kan. to close out nonconferene schedule

PUEBLO, Colo. (September 12, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team will take their talents on the road for the first time this season to Hays, Kan. and play two nonconference matches over the weekend against Fort Hays State and Washburn University.

The Pack will face Fort Hays Friday at 6 p.m. and will take on Washburn, Sunday at 12 p.m., both matches will be played at FHSU Soccer Stadium.

CSU-Pueblo is back in action after opening the season with a 1-1 record. The Pack picked up the win Sunday, a 1-0 victory over Lubbock Christian.

Jordin Schaller (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) connected a goal in the 11th minute after taking a corner kick served in by Kristin Guin (So., Alamogordo, NM). Schaller gathered the ball in the center of the box and hit a one-timer, low and inside the far post.

The Pack defense was stellar in holding the Chaps to zero shots in the second half.

In Sight for the Pack

CSU-Pueblo will return home and begin Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Sept. 20 against Steel & Silver rival-University of Colorado Colorado Springs at 7 p.m. The Pack will host MSU Denver Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m., both matches at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
