4/25/2019 1:28:00 PM

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 25, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo softball will finish the regular season on the road this week at Colorado School of Mines. The Pack and Orediggers' four-game series starts Friday at 12 p.m. at CSM Softball Field in Golden, Colo.

Setting The Stage
The ThunderWolves wrapped the home portion of the schedule last going, going 2-2 in a pod series against Chadron State and Fort Lewis.

Freshman Taylor Strupp (Fr., San Tan Valley, Ariz.) had her best outing of her young career Saturday tossing a one-hitter against Chadron. Less than 24-hours prior, Pack senior Michaela Burpee (Union City, Calif.) hit a walk-off solo homerun to lift the ThunderWolves over the same Eagles team from Chadron.

Against Fort Lewis, the ThunderWolves dropped two one-run games in the series. Friday, the Skyhawks came away with a 5-4 win and Saturday, the visitors scored one run in the top half of the seventh to steal a 3-2 win.

Postseason Outlook
CSU-Pueblo currently sits ninth in the RMAC standings and is behind seventh-place Regis University and eighth-place Adams State University. The Pack will need help from around the league as well as take care of business themselves in order to clinch a postseason berth.
