GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (April 19, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference loss at Colorado Mesa University Friday in Grand Junction, Colorado.
The ThunderWolves fell to 1-19 overall and 0-2 in RMAC play with the loss. Senior
Nia Matthews (Houston, Texas) battled in her No. 1 singles match with the RMAC Player of the Week, Kristen Kirby. Extra tennis was needed to decide the first set, as Kirby won 7-5. Matthews lost the second set 6-1. Junior
Sara Megilligan (Pueblo West, Colo.) lost 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 4 position.Â

Kali Hamilton (Grapevine, Texas) lost 6-2 at the No. 1 doubles spot.Â
The Pack conclude RMAC and regular season play Tuesday, April 23 when they host Metro State University of Denver at 2 p.m. at Pueblo City Park. CSU-Pueblo will celebrate their lone senior, Matthews, before the match.Â
