Pack MLAX hits the road for two clashes in California

PUEBLO, Colo. (March 8, 2019) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Men's Lacrosse will travel to California for its first two road contests of the season. The Pack will faceoff with Felician University Saturday and meet Notre Dame De Namur University Sunday. Both games start at 1 p.m. (MTN).

The Pack opened the season with a 12-11 win over Adams State University in snowy conditions Saturday. CSU-Pueblo has now won its last four games against the Grizzlies.

Colton Rasmussen (So., Great Falls, Mont.) made 13 saves on 24 shots. Rasmussen's 13.0 saves per game leads the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. His 54.2 save percentage ranks second.

The Pack's attack took over in the win over the Grizzlies. Taylor Davis and Anthony Ferrie (Sr., Littleton, Colo.) each netted four goals in the season opener. They share the RMAC lead with 4.0 goals per game.

Caleb Cole (Fr., Houston, Tex.) picked up his first career hat trick with three goals and added an assist. Along with Davis and Ferrie, Cole shares second in the RMAC in points per game.

Tommy Vassallo (Jr., Sarasota, Fla.) dished out two assists in the win over the Grizzlies. Vassallo's two helpers put him atop the RMAC's assist per game leaderboard.

Six ThunderWolves rank in the RMAC's top 10 in ground balls per game. Jacob Muir (Fr., Ogeden, Utah) snagged six ground balls in the season opener. His 6.0 ground balls per game top the conference. Muir won 10 of the 15 faceoffs he took.

Parker Evans (So., Bentonville, Ark.) and Tavian Watson (Jr., Aurora, Colo.)  anchored the Pack's defense with two caused turnovers and five ground balls each in the season opener. Watson also went 3-for-3 at the faceoff dot.

The Pack is 2-0 all-time against Notre Dame de Namur. This will be their first meeting with Felician.

Scouting Felician:
-The Golden Falcons have dropped each of their first three games this season. They allowed 55 goals in their first two games, before falling to NDNU in overtime, 15-14, Thursday.

Scouting Notre Dame De Namur:
- The Argos are off to a 1-4 start. Their lone win came against Felician Thursday. The Argos have surrendered 22.4 goals per game.
