ThunderWolves Men’s Tennis home opener Wednesday

3/5/2019 10:11:00 PM

PUEBLO, Colo. (March 5, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's tennis team begins its home opening match at 2 p.m. against NAIA Concordia University, Nebraska Wednesday at Pueblo City Park.

The Pack were scheduled to play Colorado Mesa University Saturday in Grand Junction, Colorado, but due to torrential snowfall and unsafe traveling conditions, the match has been postponed to later date in April.

The ThunderWolves are prepared to get back into winning ways as they host the traveling team. The season for the men's program could have taken a huge leap on their travels down to Midland, Texas when they were a tiebreak away from claiming a victory against University of Texas-Permian Basin. Nevertheless, a big win for the program against Western New Mexico University at the UTPB Invite has only made the team ready to provide a victory in the home opener at Pueblo City Park.

Preview versus Concordia University, Nebraska.

The Bulldogs have so far had a good start to the year. The Nebraskans are currently sitting at a positive record of 4-2. Their two losses came against Ottawa University and Central College.
The Bulldogs posted a three-match win streak from February to March beating Bethel College, Bethany College and Sterling College. The team's most recent match played on March 2 was against the North Kansas-based, Ottawa College, where the Bulldogs lost 7-2.
