PUEBLO, Colo. (March 28, 2019) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's track and field programs honored CSU-Pueblo Hall of Fame Coach James "Spank" Blasing Thursday at the Spank Blasing Invite at the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl. The meet was the second and final home meet of the season for the ThunderWolves. Â

The women totaled four event wins and the student-athletes combined to place 15 in the top five. Competing at home for the final time, senior
Tatianna Clanton (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had a big day. She recorded an NCAA Division II provisional time in the 100m with her winning time of 11.90. Clanton also won the 200m dash with a time of 24.47. The senior grabbed another NCAA mark when she posted a leap of 5.84m (19' 2") in the long jump.  Clanton ran the anchor leg of the 4x100m relay to help the Pack to second in the race with a time of 47.62.Â

Junior
Lauren Fairchild (McKinney, Texas) grabbed an NCAA provisional mark in the long jump when she recorded an outdoor personal best leap of 6.01m (19' 8.75"). The mark was second in the field and also ranks second in Division II heading into the third weekend of the outdoor season.Â

Fairchild also got it done on the track with a runner-up finish to Clanton in the 200m with a time of 25.53. She was fourth in the 100m dash and ran the third leg of the 4x100m relay squad.Â

Indoor national qualifier junior
Reagan Andrews (San Pedro, Calif.) grabbed an NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump with her top leap traveling 12.19m (40' 0'). She was second in the event and ranks sixth nationally. Andrews was also fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.63m (18' 5.75").Â

Sophomore
Yasmine Hernandez (Johnstown, Colo.) won the 800m run when she crossed the finish line in 2:17.01. Sophomore
Nicole Bouma (Kalispell, Mont.) was second in the race with her time of 2:20.41.Â

Liz Lockhart (Los Alamos, N.M.) grabbed an event win in the hammer throw. Her top toss was measured at 47.15m (154' 8") to best the field of 13 participants.Â

A pair of mid-distance and distance runners nabbed runner-up finishes. Sophomore
Hailey Streff (Madison, S.D.) was second in the 1500m run with a time of 4:46.73 and freshman
Claire Pauley (Arvada, Colo.) gutted out a windy 5,000m run to cross the finish line in 19:06.07.

The rest of the second-place 4x100m relay team were made up of freshman
Iyana Harper (Alamogordo, N.M.) and
Emma Sommer (Cologne, Germany).

Sommer was also fourth in the triple jump with her top leap of 11.50m (37' 8.75").Â

Heather Graham (Hugo, Colo.) was fourth in the shot put with her throw of 11.81m (38' 9").Â

The men totaled two event wins and placed five in the top two Thursday at the Spank Blasing Invite.

Shawn Horne (Camp Casey, South Korea) led the way for the men. He collected the team's only individual victory when he edged out fellow senior
Tevin Donnell (Sr., Fountain, Colo.) in the 200m dash. Horne closed hard and finished with a time of 22.29, while Donnell crossed the finish line in 22.31.Â

Sophomore
Jordan Whitley (Colorado Springs, Colo.) tied for third in the event with a time of 22.75.Â

Donnell ran the second leg and Horne was the anchor for the winning 4x100m relay squad. Freshman
Justin Dwinell (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and sophomore
RJ Ramirez (Henderson, Colo.) were the other members of the team that finished in 41.23, which is just of the provisional time of 41.09.

Ramirez was second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.92, while Whitley finished fourth with a mark of 11.19.Â

Patrick Scoggins (Rangely, Colo.) grabbed a runner-up finish in the 800m run with a time of 1:55.46.Â

The ThunderWolves were also successful in the throws arena. Sophomore
Nate Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was third in the hammer throw with a toss of 52.51m (172' 3") and also third in the shot put with his top throw traveling 15.33m (50' 3.5").Â

Justin Jenks (Helena, Mont.) placed fourth in the discus throw when he heaved the disc 46.4m (152' 3"). Â

James Sanchez (Albuquerque, N.M.) was fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 43.83m (143' 9").

Jacob Smith (Strasburg, Colo.) was fifth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.05.

Thomas Staines (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) and senior
 Devundrick Walker (Aurora, Colo.) will run the 800m at the Stanford Invite, which is scheduled for 3:48 p.m. MT.
