Ewing shoots a -3, Pack Women’s Golf in sixth on day one of El Cheapo Classic

PUEBLO, Colo. (March 24, 2019) – Courtney Ewing ranks second and Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Golf stands in sixth place on day one of the El Cheapo Classic, held at Pueblo's Walking Stick Golf Course.
 
The ThunderWolves shot a +17 (305).  CSU-Pueblo sits just two strokes out of fourth.
 
Ewing (Sr., Pueblo West, Colo.) shot a -3 (69) on day one of the tournament. Playing her final tournament in Pueblo, Ewing shares second place in the 80-golfer field. She will enter day two just two strokes back of the lead.
 
Ewing sank one of the tournament's two eagles on day one. She finished day one -3 on par fives.
 
Orakorn Thiryatorn (Sr., Meang Khonkaen, Thailand) holds 13th place. Thirayatorn carded a +3 (75) on day one. Seven had four birdies in the opening round at Walking Stick.
 
Rachanok Rahulpan (Sr., Pathumthani, Thailand) posted a + 7 (79). Rahulpan ranks 41st after 18 holes.
 
Reigning RMAC Golfer of the Week Jolene Kam (Sr., Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia) counted a +10 (82). Kam holds 51st place.
 
Amy Sutheran (Fr., Hartlepool, Durham, England, UK) finished with a +12 (84). Sutheran sits in 63rd place.
 
The Pack will look for a strong showing on day two of the El Cheapo Classic. They will tee off at 9:30 a.m. at Walking Stick. Admission is free for fans who want to watch the Pack.
