ALLENDALE, Mich. (Feb. 9, 2019) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's distance medley relay team produced an NCAA provisional time, just two seconds off an automatic mark, at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet – Saturday. Both 4x400m relay teams recorded provisional times.
The women's DMR was made up of Haley Streff (So., Madison, S.D.), Tatianna Clanton (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Yasmine Hernandez (So., Johnstown, Colo.) and Nicole Bouma (So., Kalispell, Mont.). They clocked a time of 11:37.93 for a solid provisional time, while just missing the auto mark of 11:35.38. The group was third in the field, while the time ranks fourth in Division II this season.
Three of those women then raced to an NCAA Division II provisional time in the 4x400m relay, as Clanton, Streff, Hernandez and Lauren Fairchild (Jr., McKinney, Texas) posted a time of 3:50.91 to finish second behind Division I Miami of Ohio.
Fairchild also grabbed an indoor personal best in the long jump when she won the event with a top leap of 5.82m (19' 1.25"). The mark is an NCAA provisional jump that places her top 10 in Division II and could punch her ticket to the NCAA Championships in March.
