The Pack moved to 9-3 overall in dual competition with a 3-1 record against conference foes.

CSU-Pueblo went down 10-3 through four matches with the one victory coming in the first sudden victory period when No. 2 D'Andre Brumfield (R-Jr., Dallas, Texas) recorded a 5-3 victory at 133 against Darek Huff, a back-to-back national qualifier at 125.

At 157, Isaiah Diggs (R-Jr., Federal, Wash.) recorded a 7-3 decision to move the score to 10-6.

The Pack lost in sudden victory at 165, then were forced to forfeit at 174 due to an injury suffered during warm-ups.

Down 19-6, the ThunderWolves turned to three ranked wrestlers to close out the dual.

No. 7 Tarrence Williams (Sr., Portland, Ore.) gathered his fourth win of the season (4-0) with an 11-6 decision at 184. He totaled five takedowns in the bout to move the team score to 19-9.

Trailing 3-1 in the third period at 197, No. 7 Haszell West (R-Jr., Portland, Ore.) remained undefeated (15-0) when he was able to reverse a takedown attempt by his opponent and turn it into his third pin of the season. The third-period fall at 5:34 scored six points and helped the ThunderWolves get within four at 19-15.

Needing a bonus point win, No. 4 heavyweight Gavin Nye (R-Fr., Gerber, Calif.) hit the mat and wrestled well, but would lose by a 5-4 decision (the second one point decision loss of the night for the Pack), as ASU celebrated the upset victory, 22-15.

The ThunderWolves will look to rebound with a crucial RMAC home contest against Colorado School of Mines Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. at Massari Arena.
