Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. (October 21, 2018) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer team wrapped its road schedule at Westminster College Sunday, falling 7-0 against the Griffins in Salt Lake City, Utah.
To start the match, the Pack posted the first two shots on a pair of attempts from Lewis Chambers (So., Bournemouth, UK).
Westminster got on the board first in the 10' on a penalty kick goal that hit inside the left post.
Five minutes passed before a flurry of shots by WC led to the second goal off a corner kick from the Griffins.
In the 20' WC found the net again and built a 3-0 lead heading into intermission..
For the match, Chambers and Santiago Tinta (Sr., Quito, Ecuador) recorded two shots apiece to pace the ThunderWolves.
At halftime the Pack had four shots.
In the second half, WC added two goals in a three-minute span and extended the lead to 5-0 with more than thirty minutes left in regulation.
The Pack's Richard Panknin (So., Sassnitz, Germany) took a shot that was centered at the net and saved by the Griffins goalkeeper.
Two more goals were recorded by the home team in the 64' and 85' to put the game out of reach at 7-nil.
Six members of the Pack fired a shot in the match.
CSU-Pueblo (5-9-2, 2-8-2 RMAC) returns home and face Adams State Thursday at 7 p.m. and Fort Lewis Saturday at 11 a.m. to finish the regular season. Saturday against FLC, the Pack seniors will be honored in a pregame ceremony, both matches at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
