ThunderWolves defeat Mines in timely manner

PUEBLO, Colo. (GothunderWolves.com Jan. 22, 2014) - The Colorado School of Mines Orediggers came to the Massari Arena for a dual vs. the Colorado State University-Pueblo ThunderWolves Wednesday night.

And just 45 minutes later, it was over.

Using two forfeits and benefitting from two pins, The ThunderWolves defeated the Orediggers 36-18 in a dual that was close early, and then saw the ThunderWolves pull away after the first four matches.

After opening action with a timely pin by heavyweight Niko Bogojevic (Jr., Superior, Wisc.) at 1:02, Mines would tie the dual at 12-2 after 141 pounds.
After that, the Pack would win the next five matches by a forfeit, major decision, decision, technical fall and another forfeit, giving the ThunderWolves a 36-12 lead.  In the 174-pound match, Trevor Grant (Sr., Winnemucca, Nev.) maintained his perfect dual record, running his mark to 7-0 with a 22-7 technical fall win that encapsulated the Pack's dominance on the evening.
 
With the win, the ThunderWolves are now 3-4 (1-2 RMAC) and will face Oklahoma City University on Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. in Massari Arena.
