PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Mar. 3, 2013) - When you run into two hot pitchers, the chances of beating a team decline. Metro State witnessed this firsthand as they were two-hit in game one of the doubleheader before only salvaging three hits in game two as CSU-Pueblo took a pair, winning 7-1 and 9-1.

Justine Bosio (Sr., Santa Barbara, Calif.) did just about everything in game one. Including her performance in the circle, she was tough to beat offensively as she went 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Bosio drove in her first RBI in the first inning, scoring Sidney Bailey (So., Pueblo, Colo.). 

Courtney Fick (Jr., Romona, Calif.) would drive in Bosio to give the Pack a 2-1 lead. 

The scoring would cease until the bottom of the fourth when McKenzie Joseph (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif.) would drive in Dora Hernandez (Fr., Benton City, Wash.) with a deep double to centerfield. 

Bosio would add her fourth RBI of the game in the fifth with a bases-clearing double to blow the game wide open and lead to the 7-1 win.

In game two the Pack got another stellar pitching performance, this time from Kelli Henry (So., Monument, Colo.). Henry would give up only three hits in a complete game performance.

Henry was aided offensively with home runs in the first and third inning by Alexa Snyder (So., Pueblo, Colo.) and Lacey Chesser (Jr., Oxnard, Calif.) respectively. 

More damage would be done in the third inning beginning with a bases loaded walk by Roadrunner pitcher Monique Hernandez. One batter later, Dora Hernandez would clear the bases with a triple to right field. 

The Pack, now 9-4 overall and 6-2 in RMAC play, will make their first conference road trip next weekend when they play Fort Lewis beginning Saturday.
