CANYON, Texas (GoThunderWolves.com - Nov. 24, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo missed out on its second crack at 20th-ranked West Texas A&M this season, falling again to the Buffaloes, 79-65.
The ThunderWolves only led for a grand total of 22 seconds in the game as the Buffaloes, unfortunately not approaching the close ball game it had with West Texas A&M last weekend, when it lost 76-73 on a buzzer-beater. For a bulk of Saturday's game, the Buffaloes led by double digits, pacing the Pack by as much as 22 points at one point.
CSU-Pueblo was led by its lone double-digit scorer, J.J. Mina (Jr., Elk Grove, Calif.), who netted 10 points. Bryse Velasquez (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) added eight assists in the loss.
CSU-Pueblo, now 1-5 this season, will attempts to flush the early part of its season as it enters conference play next weekend, hosting Adams State Friday and Fort Lewis Saturday.
