A rainfall of three-pointers helps deliver win for Pack.
PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 19, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo senior Daniel Pierce (Sr., Edgewood, N.M.) had an outstanding swan song for the ThunderWolves Saturday in his final home appearance, sinking five threes and netting 23 points in a 78-60 win over Chadron State.
He and fellow senior Kris Lawrie (Sr., Gardena, Calif.), who had seven points and five boards, helped along a ThunderWolf effort that saw CSU-Pueblo trail for a grand total of one minute all night long.
The Pack got the win thanks to the big play, typified its 10 three-pointers, and a breakout second half that saw them outscore the Eagles 43-31.
The ThunderWolves, now with their home schedule behind them, will close the 2010-11 campaign next weekend when they travel to Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Christian.
