ALAMOSA, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 12, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo had trouble containing Adams State's bigs Saturday, losing both the rebounding battle as well as giving up precious points in the paint as CSU-Pueblo fell to the Grizzlies 71-62.
It was the Pack's fourth straight loss and fifth in the last six games, leaving the Pack's playoff chances with four games remaining in jeopardy.
CSU-Pueblo could never take a lead, falling down 11-2 to start the game and never recovering.
After the Grizzlies' initial burst, the Pack would only get as close as three for a few scant seconds near the back end of the first half, but never offered a credible threat to Adams State, which claimed a season sweep of the ThunderWolves with the win.
With the loss, CSU-Pueblo falls to 9-13 and 6-12 in RMAC play, leaving it in danger of falling behind in the race for what is boiling down to the RMAC's final playoff spot.
With seven teams above .500 in RMAC play, CSU-Pueblo is one of five teams within a win of each other battling it out for the final spot.
