Deflected goal leads to defeat in overtime for Pack

Pack drops final home game of the season

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 16, 2011) - The CSU-Pueblo men's soccer team dropped their final home game of the season Sunday afternoon falling 1-0 to Colorado Mesa in overtime.

The teams were fairly even through regulation with both sides creating opportunities for themselves to score. But with neither team finding the back of the net the game went to overtime.

The Mavericks were able to break through in overtime after a ball was sent in the box that was lost. Finally Tim Hofer was able to get the ball and take a shot that deflected off a player into the goal.

CSU-Pueblo finished the game with 14 shots but the team was never able to finish.

The ThunderWolves will play the remaining three games on the road starting next Sunday against Fort Lewis. The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m.
