CSU-Pueblo bounces back in dominant effort.
DENVER, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 15, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo relied on another strong shooting night to best Regis Saturday night, claiming a 70-54 win at the hands of the Rangers in Denver.
CSU-Pueblo seized the lead midway through the first half, overcoming a 17-12 deficit by embarking on an 11-0 run, taking a 23-17 advantage and never looking back.
The Pack did it by completely taking control of the transition, converting 46 points in the point and 21 off of turnovers.
As a result, CSU-Pueblo shot 52.1 percent from the field, the third straight game in which they have shot better than 50 percent.
CSU-Pueblo spread the ball around, as three ThunderWolves scored in double digits while seven netted five points or more on the game. The Pack's leading scorer, Kris Lawrie (Sr., Gardena, Calif.) netted 15 points and three steals.
The ThunderWolves will attempt to keep their momentum alive next weekend as they take off for Nebraska to take on Chadron State and Nebraska-Kearney.
