RMAC Tournament: #7 Regis 1, #3 CSU-Pueblo 0
RMAC Tournament: #5 Colorado Mines 2, #3 CSU-Pueblo 1
DENVER - Despite two more stellar pitching performances by
hurler Justine Bosio
(Sr., Santa Barbara, Calif.), the ThunderWolves struggled
to score Friday, falling to Regis then to Colorado Mines by 1-0 and
2-1 scores, ending the Pack's season.
Bosio allowed just two runs across 13 innings Friday, not
allowing any earned runs in the 1-0 loss to Regis and giving up
just two to Mines.
But offensively, CSU-Pueblo recorded a grand total of just 12
hits over the two games, stranding a grand total of 16 runners on
base. Against Regis, the Pack left the bases loaded twice,
and left two runners on base three times.
The losses will more than likely end the Pack's once-promising
season. CSU-Pueblo would need to earn an at-large bid to the
NCAA Central Region Tournament to continue their season, which
isn't likely. After being ranked sixth in the region as
little as two weeks ago, a skid that produced 10 losses in the last
15 games dropped CSU-Pueblo out of the region's top ten this
past week. The region's top eight teams earn bids to the
tournament.
