Hughes, Andersen propels Pack in rout of Cougars

CSU-Pueblo 5, Colorado Christian 1

Lakewood, Colo. -- The CSU-Pueblo Men's Soccer team finished up the weekend in great fashion, as they routed Colorado Christian 5-1 on Sunday in Lakewood.  Brenden Hughes (Fr., Fort Collins, Colo.) collected a hat trick for the first time in his career in propelling the win for the Pack.

Hughes, who after all was said and done, picked up his sixth goal of the season tying him with Erik Andersen (Sr., Phoenix, Ariz.) , who also tallied a goal of his own, also his sixth on the season, and as well in as many games which breaks the CSU-Pueblo all-time record for consecutive games with at least one goal.

The game started out quick for the Pack as Corey Cullen (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) connected on a goal while in heavy traffic, his third on the year.

The Pack will continue on their current four-game road stretch next weekend as they travel first to Fort Lewis on Friday then continue up the western slope to take on Mesa State on Sunday, game times are at 3 pm and 3:30 pm, respectively.
