Pack continues hot streak with sweep of UCCS

Game 1: CSU-Pueblo 3, UCCS 1
Game 2: CSU-Pueblo 9, UCCS 1 (5 innings)

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Pack completed the sweep of UCCS on Sunday to continue their hot streak of 7 straight wins, winning game one 3-1 and closing out the series in nice fashion with a 9-1 victory in 5 innings.

Game 1 was somewhat of a pitchers dual as Coach Shane Showalter gave the start to Justine Bosio (Fr., Santa Barbara, Calif.) who helped her own cause with all 3 RBI's to improve her record to 5-2.

In the finale the T-Wolves jumped on all opportunities and exploded for 9 runs on 14 hits.  Once again all starters picking up at least one hit in the contest.  Bosio was 3-3 with an RBI and Janine Tyler (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) was 4-4 with an RBI to continue her 7 game hitting streak.  CSU-Pueblo starter Amber Higby (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) was virtually unhittable with only giving up 3 hits in the game to get her 7th win of the season.

The Pack will look to extend their winning streak when they host a rare mid-week doubleheader on Wednesday when they host Adams State at Rawlings Field, game one is scheduled for 2 pm with game two to start at 4 pm.
