Pack takes 3-of-4 from Chadron State

Game 1: CSU-Pueblo 2, Chadron State 1
Game 2: CSU-Pueblo 6, Chadron State 0

Chadron, Neb. --->  The CSU-Pueblo softball team completed the weekend off right, taking the final two games from Chadron State winning game one 2-1 and shutting the Eagles down in game two 6-0.

In game one the Pack scored its only two runs of the game in the second inning on a homer from Bo Nuanez (Jr., Lafayette, Colo.) her third of the season.  An error later in the same inning provided the T-Wolves with the other run of the game.  Despite giving up ten hits to the Eagles, Pack hurler Amber Higby (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) pitched effective throughout the game, picking up win number five on the season.

The finale of the series was all Pack as they scored all their runs on five Chadron State errors.  A 4-run 4th inning was capped by a 3-run homerun by Katie Johnson (Sr., Bonney Lake, Wash.) and was all the Pack needed as pitching once again was phenomenal as Justine Bosio (Fr., Santa Barbara, Calif.) gave up only 4 hits while striking out 3.

With the doubleheader wins, the Pack improves to 12-10 (6-6 RMAC) and will look for another series win when they host UC-Colorado Springs at Rawlings Complex with a Saturday and Sunday doubleheader, the games on Saturday are scheduled to start at noon.
