LAS VEGAS, N.M. - The showdown between current Pack wrestling
coach, Dax Charles, and former University of Southern Colorado
wrestling coach and current New Mexico Highlands head man, Doug
Moses, came up in Highlands' favor Saturday as NMHU scored a 30-9
dual win over the ThunderWolves.
The Pack won three out of ten duals vs. the Cowboys, with
Martin
Dick (Fr., Azle, Tex.), Kellen Desmond
(Jr., Escondido, Calif.) and Lyle Evans (Jr.,
Grantsville, Utah) scoring the wins for the Pack.
Dick recorded the 7-1 decision over Jarrod Purvis, Evans took
down Edwin Soriano in a 5-3 decision, and Desmond had a 7-2
decision over Andrew Roden.
The Pack's dual loss drops their mark to 2-13 in duals and 0-8
in RMAC duals. The ThunderWolves will close their RMAC dual
schedule Feb. 18 at Colorado Mines.
