CSU-Pueblo 5, Colorado Christian 1
Pueblo, Colo. ---> The CSU-Pueblo Men's Soccer playoffs hopes
may be gone, however the hard work and hustle has not went anywhere
as the Pack defeated Colorado Christian 5-1 on Friday at Rawlings
Sports Complex.
Co-captain Sam
Henritze (Sr., Scottsdale,
Ariz.) was stellar on Friday, doing everything a team
captain should do, take control against a struggling Cougar
team. Henritze, who by the time the final horn sounded had
scored goals numbers two, three, and four; giving him his
first hat trick of his career.
Soon after the start of the game the Pack showed the visitors
they were ready to play. CSU-Pueblo struck first in the 15th
minute on a Henritze goal which was then followed with a goal ten
minutes later by Sean
Fitzgerald (rSO., Fort Collins,
Colo.) giving him his second goal of the year.
After a quick goal to start the 2nd half from Henritze,
his second on the day at the time, the Pack struck again on
beautiful touch-n-go passing from Erik Andersen
(Sr., Phoenix, Ariz.) and
Alex
Zemach (Fr., Durango,
Colo.) to ultimately set up a nice goal by Robert
Kinsey (rSO., Denver,
Colo.) giving him his fifth goal of the season.
The Pack will now head on the road on Sunday to take on Colorado
Mines in Golden, Colo. game time scheduled for noon.
