Ben Gould (Fr., Canyon Country, Calif.) went 2-0 last week in matches against Adams State and San Francisco State.

Gould earned his first collegiate conference victory when he came away with a 6-1 decision win. After a scoreless first period, he grabbed the first takedown and led 2-1 after two. He started on the bottom to start the final period and used a reversal to increase his lead. He rode out his opponent the rest of the way, as a penalty point for stalling and a point for ride time secured the 6-1 decision.

Against No. 12 San Francisco State, Gould used a takedown and four-point near fall in the final minute of the third period to post a 9-2 decision win.
