NCAA XC Championship field announced; Five Pack runners earn USTFCCCA All-Region

INDIANAPOLIS (November 10, 2015) – The selections for the 2015 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships were announced Monday and in the process named four members of the Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's team to the final meet of 2015.

The U.S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association also named its all-region award winners, Monday and honored five members of the Pack. 

On the women's side, sophomore Miriam Roberts (Boulder, Colo.) and junior Bailey Hughes (Big Fork, Mont.) was named to the Championships and earned all-region recognition. Roberts posted a seventh-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional Nov. 7, while Hughes was 13th. Both automatically qualified for the championships by being a top three individual finisher from the regional race who were not part of a qualifying team. 

On the men's side, sophomore Derrick Williams (Columbia Falls, Mont.) and freshman Marcelo Laguera (Chihuahua, Mexico) will compete in the NCAA meet and earned all-region after they finished 10th and 11th, respectively, at the regional race.

Sophomore Ben Vaughn (Great Falls, Mont.) was also recognized as USTFCCCA All-Region for a 25th place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional.

The championships will take place Nov. 21 at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Missouri, with the 6K women's race starting at 10 a.m. Central time followed by the 10K men's race at 11:15 a.m. Central time. Missouri Southern State University will serve as host of the championships. Live results will be available the day of the championships at http://primetimetiming.com/liveresults/2015/NCAAXC/.
