Williams tapped as USTFCCCA Division II National Male Athlete of the Week

USTFCCCA RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS (September 14, 2015) – Colorado State University-Pueblo men's cross country sophomore Derrick Williams (Columbia Falls, Mont.) was tabbed U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division II Male Athlete of the Week Monday.

Williams guided the ThunderWolves to a third-place finish at the Border Classic Sept. 11 with a winning 5K time of 15:02.6 in his first official cross country meet with the Pack and in Division II. He averaged 4:51.2 per mile.

CSU-Pueblo posted a team time of 1:19:21, but was just 33 seconds behind the winning team, West Texas A&M University.

Next for both Pack teams is the Colorado College Invite Sept. 19.
