XC Competes at Durango

DURANGO, Colo. – Lauren Dunsmoor placed fourth to help lead the Colorado State-Pueblo women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Tom Strandt Memorial Run Saturday morning.

Dunsmoor finished the 4K course in 15:53, seven seconds behinds third-place Jessica Quigley of Fort Lewis. The Skyhawk's Emily Roser won the race with a time of 14:28 to lead Fort Lewis to a first place finish overall.

Sarah Lile took 17th with a time of 17:10 for CSU-Pueblo, while Kristin Heinl finished with a time of 18:58, good for 26th. Ashley Samek, who ran the race in 20:48, was the next ThunderWolf across the line in 28th place. Elizabeth Grossman clocked in at 25:28 to place 34th.

Mesa State finished second on the team side followed by CSU-Pueblo, which finished 19 points ahead of last-place Colorado Northern Community College.
