Women Compete at Hays Invite

HAYS, Kan.  – The Colorado State University-Pueblo cross country team competed at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open Saturday morning Lauren Dunsmoor finished sixth overall to help the T-Wolves to an 11th-place finish.

Dunsmoor, who sat out the Pack's first race with an injury two weeks ago at Colorado Springs, got through the 5 K course in 19:11.  Sarah Lile was the second CSU-Pueblo runner across the finish line as she placed 43rd.

It was a very warm and windy day as the runners spent a good part of the race running into a 20 mile per hour breeze.  Butler Community College won the overall team event. Colorado College came in second followed by host For Hays State in third. Beatty Rotich of Colby Community College smoked the rest of the field as she won the race by over a minute. Fort Hays' Bridget Brown took second.
