Denver, CO (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 22nd 2011) The Pack headed back to Denver on Saturday to compete in the RMAC championships. They finished 13th out of 13 teams.
The Pack had all their runners competing in race; however, only six of the eight runners finished. Hayley Lewis (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) was the top finisher for the Pack, finishing 43rd with a time of 25:08. She finished eight places higher than she did last season. This was only the second race for Lewis this season. During the race, Marki Cook (RFr., Meeker, Colo.) stepped in a pot hole and twisted her ankle and was unable to finish. Near the end of the race, Ali Wolpern (So., Montgomery, Minn.), the top runner for the Thunderwolves this seaon, pulled her self out. Christina Lobato (Jr., Rocky Ford, Colo.) continues to improve, breaking her PR once again. She fished with a time of 26:23. Nicole Reveles (Fr., Gilbert, Ariz.) finished with her best time of the season for a 6k race with a time of 26:01.
The Thunderwolves hope to be back at full strength next week when they return to Denver to compete in the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships.
