Three Pack runners break PR

Denver, CO ( - Oct. 8th 2011) The Pack continued its season on Saturday at the Metro State Invitational. It was their second 6k race of the year. The team competed against six teams placing fifth. Out of 61 runners the Pack's top four placed no lower than 25th.

Christina Lobato (Jr., Rocky Ford, Colo.) set a new PR with a time of 26:29, breaking her old record by one second. She placed 25th with that time. Ali Wolpern (So., Montgomery, Minn.) finished in seventh place in her first 6k race of the season. She finished with a time of 24:49, 26 seconds faster than her previous PR. Marki Cook (RFr., Meeker, Colo.) stayed consistent, running a 26:20. This is the same time she finished with at the 6k Colorado College Invitational. Morgan Lundt (FR., Palmer, AK.) continues to improve, breaking her old PR set at Colorado College by 29 seconds with a time of 28:48. 

The Thunderwolves travel back to Denver on Oct. 22 to compete in the RMAC Championships, hosted by Regis University.
