COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Dec. 22, 2010) - CSU-Pueblo's top cross country runner in 2010, Hayley Lewis (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.), is a second-team Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selection, the RMAC announced Wednesday.

Lewis, who carries a 3.98 GPA as a mass communications major at CSU-Pueblo, became the first ThunderWolf since 2007 to be honored on the RMAC's Academic All-Conference squad with at least a first-team or second-team selection.

The teams were selected by Sports Information Directors at schools in the RMAC that sponsor women's cross country. To qualify for Academic All-RMAC, student-athletes must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 or better, be a starter or reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution. Their GPA is what they had earned prior to cross country season beginning.
