ThunderWolves give strong showing at Tom Strandt

DURANGO, Colo. - CSU-Pueblo finished third at the Tom Strandt Invitational in Durango Saturday, led by Christina Lobato (Fr., Rocky Ford, Colo.), who finished in 14th place.

Lobato ran the 6K course in 26:30.  The rest of the ThunderWolves' four-some ran the course in the neighborhood of 29 minutes.  The ThunderWolves were without their top runner so far in 2009, Hayley Lewis.  She will return in two weeks at the Pack's next meet, the RMAC Championships.

"This was a good course for us in preparing for conference in two weeks, and I'm happy with how we ran," Pack coach Chad Perry said.  "Our main goal at conference is to beat as many teams as we can, and we've been beating teams this year."
